Eye Candy

Here are some sweet pictures of my precious kids at halloween!
Isn't he the cutest fireman you have ever seen?
Just look at that cute little girl!
I absolutely love my kids, they make me smile.
Here are a couple of pictures of them playing outside in the leaves the other day.  Jordan had a blast.  Alissa, well, she was not to sure what she thought of being thrown into a pile of dead leaves, but she had a good time anyway!

Happy Fall

So, yesterday Jason and I were talking and came to the conclusion that neither of us really enjoy Halloween.  We do allow the kids to dress up and do a little trick or treating, but it is not something that we decorate for or go overboard on.  On the other hand, we both LOVE fall and we love to decorate for fall.  It seems to be the one time during the year that our decorating styles match!
In celebration of our love for fall, I thought I would share with you some images that evoke some great memories and excitement for us!

This beautiful wreath can be found at my-country-home.com

Nothing warms like warm apple cider.  If you want to try this recipe, it can be found at:

Truthfully, this last picture is probably not one that Jason would be a huge fan of, but it is definitely one of my favorites.  I love the white pumpkins with the baby blue vase.  I think it is absolutely adorable, don't you?
It can be found at countryliving.com
I hope all of you are enjoying this season, such a great opportunity to witness God's creativity.  He is such a great artist!

A little more about White Washed Comfort

Our logo is finished and we just love it!!! It reminds us of Isaiah 61:
...The Lord has annointed us to...
bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of {His} splendor.
That is what we want white washed comfort to accomplish.
We desire to display the splendor of our Almighty God to our customers & friends.

{Sew} Pretty

White Washed Comfort has blown in like a huge tornado. Amy and I have been extremely busy sewing tea towels, making plans for the October craft fair, getting our branding together, and so many other things. It is so exciting to be a part of something new and something that I have passion for. God has been guiding us the whole way, I can't even begin to name all of the ways He has directed us. I have 100% confidence that this is His will for our life and that He has great plans for our future....of course, I always knew that and we all know that it doesn't just mean for our professional lives but for all aspects of who we are.

Jason, Jordan, and Alissa have been surrounded by the sounds of the sewing machine late into the evening, witnessed me doing more ironing than I have the entire time we've been married, and seen more tea towels than ever thought possible.

Just to give an update on the family! Jordan is in AWANAS this fall. He is loving it and is doing great at memorizing his Bible verses. Alissa just recently started walking. It didn't take her long to get comfortable walking instead of crawling. She pretty much walks everywhere now. Jason's still planning to make a trip to Trinidad this fall. We still don't know any details, but I still think it is in the works. Me? I'm just trying to stay afloat.

Angie

Missing my Baby

My big baby that is. Jason has been gone all week to New Jersey to get a certification at Crestron. I am extremely happy to see him succeeding in his job. He has enjoyed working at DES ever since he began there. It is as if he found his niche. We are really glad that he got to get this certification. As far as we know he is 1 of only 3 people in Arkansas who have this specific qualification.

Regardless of how proud we are, it has been a long week and I am ready to have my help mate back. Jordan said tonight, on the way home from my parents house, "Well, I guess daddy is living in New Jersey. We need to move to New Jersey so that we can see daddy." He sure does miss Jason.

Jason called this evening to talk and Jordan, on the phone with Jason, ask hiim if he was telling the people in New Jersey about Jesus. Talk about accountability. So glad that Jordan wants to let the world know about Jesus.

Alissa stood on her own today, with no assistance. I give her a week and she will be walking. Tuesday is her 1st birthday. Isn't it amazing that she is already 1? Where has the year gone? What a beautiful blessing she is.

Love to all,
Angie

Cool days ahead! At least I hope.

We are definitely in the dog days of summer. This week has been very hot and humid. I don't want to complain to much because I do enjoy the summer. Jordan, Alissa, and I have had some really fun walks in the evenings. We have enjoyed lots of days at Jeremiah and Amy's pool, and even got to spend some time in St. Louis on vacation. We are having a great time...I do not want summer to end, just cool down a little.

Lots of fun things are beginning to take place in our lives. Alissa is crawling, pulling up, and getting very close to walking. Hold on tight, because things will certainly be different once she is completely mobile. Jordan is all boy. He LOVES riding his bicycle and playing with his transformer cars. I have put a ban on any new toys with wheels after I counted over 100 cars, trucks, transformers, etc. in his room. I think he has enough and will be fine for a while if he doesn't get any new ones.

Jason continues to work hard. He has to get his passport because he will be doing a job in Trinidad sometime toward the end of the year. I have no idea how long of a flight that will be, it will be interesting to hear all about the island once Jason goes. They say it is a work trip, I'm not so sure. Sounds like a vacation to me.

Amy and I have some new, exciting adventures we are pursuing. You will be seeing lots more about this on my blog as things progress. For now lets just say White Washed Comfort. Probably means nothing to you, but hopefully it will soon!

Love to All,
Angie
